Alfa Romeo to auction striking F1 Art Car for charity

Alfa Romeo is to auction a strikingly-liveried Formula 1 show car designed by a world-renowned graffiti artist.

Alfa Romeo collaborated with Germany-born BOOGIE to produce the Art Car, which was revealed in the Swiss Alps on Tuesday.

A 3D model of the car will be available in augmented reality through Alfa Romeo partner JigSpace.

The show car will be present at the Global Gaming Hub at London’s ExCel from February 7-9 and will have further yet-to-be-determined outings through the course of 2023.

At the end of the year the piece, Alfa Romeo’s first Art Car, will be auctioned to raise funds for Save The Children.

“We are proud to bring this project to life together with an incredible artist such as BOOGIE,” said Alfa Romeo Team Representative Alessandro Alunni Bravi.

“He is like us, the embodiment of talent who came to call Switzerland home and evolved a unique style and way of doing things.

“Like BOOGIE, we are not afraid to challenge the way things are done and the Art Car project is the best example of this. Most importantly, we don’t want the Art Car to remain closed in our HQ: it’s a project for our community, for our fans, to get closer to the team.”

Alfa Romeo’s C43 will be unveiled in Zurich next Tuesday (February 7).
