The highly anticipated transfer of Renato Sanches from PSG to Roma, involving a loan deal with a purchase option, has finally been unlocked. It is anticipated that the Portuguese player will join the Italian team next week. Just recently, there was communication that he was not part of Luis Enrique’s plans for the upcoming season, along with Neymar, Verratti, Bernat, and Ekitike. Despite this, he continued to train with the main squad.

However, Renato will not be making this journey alone, as reported by Sky Italia. Another PSG player, midfielder Leandro Paredes, is also set to permanently join Mourinho’s team.

While Renato was viewed as a valuable asset to the Portuguese manager’s project, the acquisition of the Argentine midfielder was prompted by Matic’s insistence on moving to Rennes. In the end, both the coach and the sporting director agreed to release him for a fee of 3 million euros (and he signs with Rennes until 2025).

Concerning Leandro Paredes (who had been training separately alongside Mbappé), PSG initially had an agreement for his sale to Galatasaray, but the midfielder opted for Roma instead. The transfer is expected to involve a sum ranging between 3 and 4 million euros, in addition to bonuses.

Presently, Mourinho’s Roma is in search of a forward, and negotiations are currently taking place with Atalanta for the potential loan signing of Duván Zapata.
