Manchester United beat Reading, 3-1, and qualified for the last 16 of the FA Cup.

Manchester United’s intense dominance in the first half, possession of the ball around 80 percent, an unequal duel between the 4th in the Premier League and the 16th in the Championship (second tier), at Old Trafford, the ground of the strongest.

On the outsiders’ bench, Paul Ince, a former English international midfielder, who played for the Red Devils from 1989 to 1995, a journey that earned him 10 trophies under the command of Alex Ferguson, yesterday on the stand at Theater of Dreams.

It is certain that, at the interval, the null prevailed. Rashford still celebrated, in vain, however, because the accurate header he made in the small area ended up not counting due to Weghorst’s offside in the genesis of the move. In Reading’s only dangerous move, at 45+1′, De Gea prevented Hoilett from scoring after Malacia’s blunder.

In great shape, Casemiro showed the men in front how to hit the net, twice, at 54′ and 58′, which led to victory. Fred, with his heel, Bruno Fernandes’ cross from the right, made it 3-0, at 66′, shortly after Andy Carroll had seen the second yellow card. Even in numerical inferiority, Mbengue still reduced and sealed the final 3-1.
