AC Milan traveled to the capital last night and secured a 2-1 victory, a result that could have easily been more decisive. The Rossoneri displayed an impressive performance against Jose Mourinho’s defensively oriented tactics, with his side adopting a defensive approach from the very start of the match.

Milan initiated the game with a flurry of dangerous opportunities, demonstrating precise passing and excellent movement. Ruben Loftus-Cheek stood out, making a penetrating run into the box that earned Milan a penalty as Rui Patricio fouled him without touching the ball. Olivier Giroud confidently converted the penalty, securing his fourth goal in the opening three games.

Milan extended their lead through a moment of brilliance from Rafael Leao, who executed an overhead volley while being challenged by a defender. He perfectly connected with Davide Calabria’s cross, directing it expertly to strike the far post and double our advantage.

The latter stages of the game were somewhat tense, with Fikayo Tomori receiving a second yellow card and subsequently missing the upcoming derby. Milan conceded a late goal as Spinazzola unleashed a shot from outside the box, which deflected off Pierre Kalulu, wrong-footing Mike Maignan and providing their opponents with a consolation goal.

Milan has now secured three consecutive wins to commence the season. With a two-week break for international fixtures ahead, the eagerly anticipated derby awaits us.
