On Sunday, Denmark emerged victorious against Finland with a 1-0 scoreline at the Olympiastadion in Helsinki, thereby seizing the top spot in Group H of the 2024 European Championship qualification.

The lone goal of the game materialized late in the 86th minute, credited to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and facilitated by full-back Joakim Maehle.

Morten Hjulmand, a midfielder from Sporting, remained an unused substitute, while Alexander Bah, a full-back from Benfica, remained sidelined due to an injury he had been nursing for several days.

With this win, Denmark now leads the group with 13 points, one more than both Finland and Kazakhstan, and a two-point advantage over Slovenia.

Meanwhile, at the Astana Arena, Kazakhstan also secured a 1-0 triumph against Northern Ireland, as Maksim Samorodov found the net in the 27th minute with an assist from Abzal Beysebekov.
