Marco Reus continued his impressive form by scoring once again as a 10-man Borussia Dortmund secured a 3-1 victory over Hoffenheim, propelling them to the summit of the Bundesliga.

Former captain Marco Reus, who has been in stellar form this season, found the net for the third consecutive match, restoring Dortmund’s lead just before halftime. This came after an early Niclas Fullkrug goal for the visitors had been equalized by an Andrej Kramaric penalty.

Julian Ryerson sealed the victory for Dortmund with a remarkable solo run that covered half the field, occurring deep into stoppage time.

Dortmund faced adversity when Ramy Bensebaini was shown a red card in the 71st minute for kicking the ball away. However, despite a missed opportunity by Karim Adeyemi to make it 3-1, Julian Ryerson’s late goal ensured Dortmund’s victory, marking their third consecutive win in an unbeaten season.

Niclas Fullkrug commented on the match, saying, “We overcame another challenge in this long season. The fighting spirit and the winning mentality were evident. Results like these pave the way for success.”

Dortmund now tops the Bundesliga standings, one point ahead of defending champions Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, who face RB Leipzig and bottom-ranked Mainz, respectively, on Saturday.

Hoffenheim, after winning their previous four games, trail Dortmund by one more point, currently sitting in sixth place in the league.
