Liverpool, UK – Liverpool is reportedly on the verge of signing a monumental kit sponsorship deal with Adidas, potentially surpassing the lucrative arrangement between Manchester United and the sportswear giant. According to insiders, the Reds’ new contract with Adidas is worth up to £450 million over five years, potentially exceeding United’s £900 million, ten-year agreement with the brand.

The switch to Adidas is set for the 2025-26 season, once Liverpool’s existing Nike deal concludes. Under Nike, Liverpool currently earns £30 million per year, along with a 20% royalty on net sales, a figure substantially lower than Manchester United’s current annual intake of around £90 million from Adidas. However, sources reveal Liverpool’s Adidas contract includes various performance-based bonuses and shirt sales incentives, which could boost earnings to exceed United’s yearly figure.

Football Insider reports that if Liverpool’s success continues, they stand to earn even more. This strategic boost in revenue could greatly enhance Liverpool’s financial flexibility in the transfer market, especially after a quiet summer that saw the club secure only one major signing, Federico Chiesa, from Juventus for £12.5 million. The Reds also negotiated a deal for goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who will remain on loan at Valencia for this season, while a late attempt to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad fell through.

With significant funds anticipated from this Adidas partnership, Liverpool could strengthen its squad considerably in the upcoming transfer windows, putting them in an even stronger position against competitors.
