Alpine offer first look at 2023 F1 car

Alpine secured fourth in the Constructors' Championship last season, despite suffering eight retirements. Whilst Alpine aren’t launching their 2023 challenger (the A523) until February 16, the Enstone-based outfit have given fans a “snippet” of what to possibly expect, with there being a noticeable similarity to a 2022 design. Alpine released a video onto social media showing their new car’s sidepods and cockpit, with it looking incredibly similar to Red Bull’s successful 2022 design. Red Bull, of course, claimed 17 victories last season with the mighty RB18, a car that Alpine have seemingly taken inspiration from. The video shows that the French side have opted for a steeper groove down the flank of the sidepods, running alongside the cockpit where Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly will...

‘I will run it as I want’ – new Ferrari F1 team boss puts foot down

Fred Vasseur, Ferrari's newly appointed team principal, has made it clear that he will be in charge of the Scuderia's Formula 1 team. Vasseur, who previously held positions at Alfa Romeo and Sauber, took over the role on 9 January, succeeding Mattia Binotto. There had been speculation that Vasseur would not have complete control over the team and that chairman John Elkann and CEO Benedetto Vigna would play a larger role in the day-to-day management of the Maranello outfit. However, in an interview with selected media, Vasseur stated: "The Gestione Sportiva, the team, is part of the bigger organisation of Ferrari. I have a CEO, and it's Benedetto Vigna, and I have a chairman [Elkann] for the company, and the situation is crystal clear. "But even at Sauber, I had to report to the chair...
