Sébastien Ogier, from the Toyota Yaris, was in the spotlight on the first day of the Monte Carlo Rally. In the opening race of the World Championship, the French driver already has more than half a minute of advantage over the competition.
Ogier won four of the six specials of the day, finishing 36 seconds ahead of second place, Finnish world champion Kalle Rovanpera, and 37.9 seconds over third, Belgian Thierry Neuville.
